Joe Kendall, AIF®, CPFA, joined the Mayflower Advisors Retirement Team in 2014. His primary responsibilities revolve around working with the sponsors and participants of corporate retirement plans.
For sponsors, he assists in the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of their plans—with special attention to fiduciary liability and operational efficiency. For participants, he focuses on retirement plan and financial education to help ensure they may have the best chance to reach their goals. Joe takes great pride in being very knowledgeable about his clients’ demographics and culture and ensuring the retirement plan matches those characteristics.
Previously, Joe worked in the Retirement Services Group at Goldman Sachs helping financial advisors find unique investment solutions to the challenges 401(k) plans face. His experience is focused on helping 401(k) plans battle inflation, protect against rising interest rates, and condense fund menus without sacrificing diversification. Prior to Goldman, Joe worked with Quantitative Risk Management, a consulting firm focused on bank financial risk management.
Joe received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He is an avid exerciser and reader and lives in Canton, MA with his wife, Trish; their two children, Lilly and Sam; and dog: Wes. He is very involved in the Canton community serving as the Treasurer and Resource Team Director of the Congregational Church of Canton as well as a youth basketball and baseball coach.
